Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to provide enterprise leadership for our project controls function across a large, complex portfolio for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. This role will establish governance, systems, analytics, and talent needed to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. 15+ years of related experience is preferred.
• PMP or PgM certification required.
• Experience leading project controls for large portfolios in AEC or similar.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance.
• Establish controls approaches for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models.
• Strengthen budgeting, earned value, forecasting, and scheduling processes.
• Develop dashboards and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and risk.
• Lead modernization of platforms, data, and workflows with AI-enabled forecasting.
• Set scalable document management and control standards across projects.
• Collaborate with executives and delivery teams to improve profitability and outcomes.
• Lead and develop a distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document control professionals.
