Job summary

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan is seeking a Learning Designer who can work in a multi-disciplinary team to bring to life course and program strategies, stories and ideas.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in the science of learning and learning design. You will report to and work closely with the Learning Design Manager, Office of Digital Education to create and incubate a collection of new, exciting, and ground-breaking digital offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in a relevant industry.
• Experience in concept ideation, design, and delivery.
• Experience in higher education environment.
• Progressive project management experience with launches.
• Initiative, independent judgment, diplomacy, and service-oriented attitude.
• Strong teamwork, problem solving, and ability to act independently.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload under time constraints and conflicting demands.
• Ability to work well in a multicultural and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Ross faculty to create new digital courses and programs.
• Redesign existing courses for effective delivery in digital learning environments.
• Develop lesson plans aligning with learning science principles and Ross's digital Assurance of Learning standards.
• Translate faculty research and subject-matter expertise into engaging digital learning assets.
• Collaborate to execute a digital education strategy aligned with priorities and accessibility.
• Apply research to develop curricular and co-curricular resources and tools.
• Design educational templates and digital learning content for learners and audiences around the world.
