Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh seeks an Assistant Director of Learning Design and Innovation to provide strategic and operational leadership for learning experience design across the Health Sciences. You will partner with faculty and academic leaders to design and advance innovative, high-quality educational experiences, reporting to Education Technology.

This role oversees LXD, Learning Innovation, and Educational Media Production across Health Sciences.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with faculty and academic programs.
• Curiosity and openness to new ideas, technologies, and approaches to teaching and learning.
• Experience managing complex projects or services across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Learning Experience Design, Learning Innovation, and Educational Media Production services across Health Sciences.
• Partner with faculty and academic leaders on course/curriculum development, accessibility, and technology use.
• Supervise managers, team leads, and staff with coaching and performance management.
• Set priorities, manage staffing, budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
