Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks experienced Resource Case Managers to support individuals with developmental disabilities across Region 3 (Vancouver, Tacoma, Tumwater) and additional locations as needed. The role emphasizes independence, informed choice and quality of life through person-centered planning.

Hybrid work is supported with travel within Washington state and mandatory training outside local offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field with 2+ years of social services experience serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Six years of progressive social services experience can substitute for the degree, if applicable.
• Graduate training or trainee program may substitute for one year of experience.
• Knowledge of RCWs, WACs, and state residential guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify client support needs and authorize payments for services.
• Schedule and conduct face-to-face home visits.
• Facilitate person-centered goal planning and update assessments and service plans.
• Complete and revise client assessments and service plans within timelines.
• Identify crisis situations and refer to appropriate authorities or community resources.
• Determine and evaluate financial and functional eligibility for programs.
• Review and monitor client plans, reports, and progress.
• Arrange translation/interpretation when needed and maintain accurate case files and payments.
