Job summary

The National Audubon Society is seeking a Senior Coordinator of Development Services in New York, NY. This hybrid role supports a fast-paced development team with administrative excellence and cross-functional collaboration across donor stewardship, events, and communications.

You will manage scheduling, vendor relations, reports, and donor communications while ensuring accuracy, discretion, and timely delivery of materials for major fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum five years of work experience in a professional setting; nonprofit development experience required.
• Strong in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate travel, meetings, reimbursements, and external invoices for senior leaders.
• Update Salesforce with donor data, run reports, manage lists and data pulls for fundraising.
• Provide administrative support for fundraising, prospect research, materials, and events.
• Draft and proofread donor and internal communications, gift acknowledgments, and event materials.
• Support design work, printing, mailings, and vendor coordination for development programs.
• Take notes in meetings and organize follow-up actions; manage mail merges and production tasks.
• Assist with events support, calendars, and communication about gifts to major donors.
• Monitor inboxes, event boards, and provide on-/off-site support for board meetings.
