Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, internal communications, or executive communications.
• Strong writing and research skills, with experience writing and editing content for executives and preparing briefing materials.
• Proven track record developing and executing strategic communications plans with measurable results.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent judgment, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute communications strategies that advance Audubon’s messaging and priorities.
• Write high-impact speeches, talking points, blog posts, press statements, and briefing materials for leadership engagements.
• Support enterprise communications initiatives with strategic messaging and change management plans.
• Translate complex conservation issues into clear, mission-focused narratives for diverse audiences.
• Maintain consistency and clarity in internal and external communications across the organization.
• Identify and secure leadership opportunities for conferences, speaking engagements, and media appearances.
