Job summary

All Stars Project of New York is seeking a Development Officer to join the fundraising team in a hybrid role based in New York, NY. You will cultivate relationships with individual donors, manage a portfolio, and coordinate campaigns and events to support annual fundraising goals.

Working with the Assistant Director of Development, you will steward donors, prepare reports, and collaborate with national teams to grow philanthropic partnerships and impact for youth development across ASP locations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of professional experience in fundraising, sales, business development, client relations, or other relationship-centered role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build authentic relationships and inspire confidence and trust with a wide range of audiences.
• Strong writing and editing skills with experience researching, writing, and developing foundation and corporate proposals and reports.
• Proficient in organizational and project management with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Belief in ASP's mission with a collaborative, growth-oriented approach to building relationships.
• Experience in Raiser's Edge NXT, AirTable, and Constant Contact preferred.
• Proven administrative skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.
• Flexibility in schedule; evenings may be required for events.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds for events and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 75–100 individual donors and prospects.
• Develop engagement strategies to increase donor retention and giving levels.
• Prepare donor briefing materials for meetings.
• Support ASP NY's annual fundraising strategy targeting $3.5 million.
• Coordinate donor, foundation, corporate, trustee meetings and follow-ups.
• Produce donor-centered communications and fundraising appeals.
• Research prospective corporate supporters for new funding opportunities.
• Develop corporate proposals and engagement reports.
• Plan and execute donor outreach for events and campaigns.
• Maintain collaboration with national development team.
