Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Development Coordinator to provide high-level programmatic and administrative support for the Virginia development team. You will manage calendars, draft materials, and assist with travel and event planning.

You will use Blackbaud CRM and other fundraising tools to track activities, produce reports, and support donor engagement strategies. This hybrid role requires collaboration across departments and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Experience with calendar management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience coordinating projects and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to analyze information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating efforts, and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Does not supervise staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
• Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
• Assist in database maintenance and fundraising data management.
• Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and vendor coordination.
• Plan and coordinate travel, events, and retreats.
• Draft correspondences and materials for donors and stakeholders.
• Prepare donor and partner research to support fundraising initiatives.
• Utilize fundraising systems to produce reports and track progress on initiatives.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve operations and team effectiveness.
