Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Desktop Systems Specialist based in Minnesota to deliver responsive, customer-focused technical support for AMERS colleagues. You will troubleshoot Windows and macOS devices, manage end-user hardware, software, and collaboration tools, and assist with device enrollment and inventory management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of desktop support or IT service desk experience.
• Experience with Windows and macOS in business/enterprise environments.
• Proficient in troubleshooting end-user hardware, software, peripherals, and connectivity issues.
• Familiar with ticketing systems and documenting issues, steps, and resolutions.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
• Basic familiarity with Entra ID/Azure AD and Intune.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for end-user hardware, software, access, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor Helpdesk queue and respond to incidents within service expectations.
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and productivity apps.
• Configure, deploy, replace, and recover end-user devices per established processes.
• Assist with mobile devices setup, enrollment, and access.
• Support device-management requests in Entra ID, Azure AD, or Intune.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Maintain inventory records and lifecycle updates.
• Provide onsite support for conference rooms and AV equipment.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
• Participate in device refreshes, deployments, and software rollouts.
• Create and update knowledge-base articles and SOPs.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
• Deliver professional, empathetic, customer-focused support.
