Job summary

Jacobs in New Orleans is seeking a Design-Build Project Engineer to help deliver transportation infrastructure through design-build and other delivery methods. You will work with Design Managers, Project Managers, and engineers to support the full project lifecycle from pursuits through final design and construction support.

The role offers growth within Jacobs' Design-Build practice, with exposure to roadway, bridge, transit, and aviation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• EIT certification.
• Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC or similar delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of transportation projects using Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, and other methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on roadway, bridge, transit, aviation, and other projects.
• Assist with project planning, technical coordination, and development of engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Support design development and preparation of plans, specs, reports, and contract documents.
• Assist with project schedule tracking and milestones; coordinate efforts.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Provide construction-phase support: RFI responses, submittals, shop drawings, field visits.
• Contribute to quality management and compliance with Jacobs standards.
• Build strong client and team relationships while developing leadership skills.
