Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data modeling efforts across core business domains. You will guide modeling standards, govern data definitions, and partner with finance, supply chain, and operations to ensure scalable data models aligned with IT strategy.

You will drive metadata management, data integration patterns, and collaboration with analytics teams to support data mesh and MDM initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive, hands-on data modeling experience.
• Leadership responsibilities and enterprise data architecture contributions.
• Design and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Experience with ERP/analytics cloud ecosystems (Oracle, SAP, GCP, Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
• Deep expertise in star/snowflake schemas, data vault, and modern patterns.
• Proficiency with metadata management and data catalogs.
• Ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data models across core domains.
• Lead modeling sessions aligned with business goals and IT strategy.
• Define standards and reusable patterns for teams to follow.
• Collaborate with domain teams to translate requirements into governed models.
• Document data lineage and communicate architecture strategy clearly.
• Support data engineers in implementing physical structures.
• Mentor junior data professionals and review models for enterprise alignment.
• Stay updated on trends like data mesh, MDM, and data fabric.
