Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Data Center and Infrastructure Platform Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead the enterprise data center and compute platforms. You will drive high availability, resiliency, and security while guiding a team across compute, storage, and DR capabilities.

The role emphasizes capacity planning, governance, and collaboration with architecture, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity teams to modernize infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading enterprise data center operations.
• Proven people leadership, coaching, and team development.
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with global, multi-site data center operations.
• Strong knowledge of data center operations, server infrastructure, storage, backup and recovery, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for Pacific Life's data center environment, ensuring high availability and security.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data center operations.
• Execute capacity planning to ensure scalability and business continuity.
• Define and implement operational standards, procedures, and governance for infrastructure platforms.
• Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance.
• Support disaster recovery planning and testing across critical services.
• Manage vendor relationships and hardware lifecycle management.
• Partner with architecture, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity teams to align platforms.
• Monitor trends and advocate modernization opportunities.
• Develop departmental plans in coordination with the Director.
