Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Design & Performance Engineer to design and review electrical, mechanical, and site plans for data center projects. You will collaborate with facility and operations teams to ensure builds meet CoreSite standards and operate reliably.

Responsibilities include evaluating systems for efficiency, defining testing scopes, and providing QA sign-off. Candidates should have a civil/ electrical engineering background and be prepared for 40% on-site work with 60% remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of data center operations and design experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to data centers.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and work both on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life-safety systems for expansions and upgrades.
• Define testing and commissioning scope to verify design intent and operability.
• Provide final QA sign-off for engineered systems at project end.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to design custom engineering solutions.
• Support the sales process with technical expertise for complex opportunities.
• Review and approve modifications to existing facilities.
• Provide engineering support to Data Center Operations and maintenance teams.
