Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Design & Performance Engineer to join our Engineering team in the United States. You will design and review electrical, mechanical, and site plans, ensuring alignment with CoreSite's build standards across data centers.

You’ll collaborate with facility and operations teams, perform testing, commissioning, and QA sign-off, and pursue certifications while supporting remote/onsite work. This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data center operations and design.
• Experience with data center redundancy and facilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical, mechanical, fire, and building systems for data center projects.
• Define scope for testing and commissioning to ensure operability.
• Provide final QA sign-off for engineered systems post-construction.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to design customer deployments.
• Support testing and commissioning with witness and review of scripts.
• Maintain up-to-date design and procurement documentation.
