CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Design & Performance Engineer to design and review electrical, mechanical, and site plans for data centers. The role requires independent decision-making and collaboration with facility and operations teams to ensure designs meet build standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data center operations and design, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD) and MS Office proficiency, and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equiv. work exp considered.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data center operations and design.
• Strong CAD skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the efficiency, reliability, and engineering design of critical infrastructure systems.
• Define the scope for testing and commissioning to ensure operability.
• Provide final QA sign-off for engineered systems post-construction.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to design custom engineering solutions.
• Support the sales process with technical expertise for complex opportunities.
• Review and approve modifications to existing facilities.
• Support commissioning activities and witness tests.
