Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Security Platform Engineer to engineer, operate, and automate its network security platforms across IT and OT environments. The role focuses on the enterprise firewall platform, policy governance, and reducing rule sprawl across 150+ locations.

The position partners with Cyber Operations, Infrastructure & Site Reliability, and Process Control to deliver secure connectivity and projects from design to go-live.

Formación

• Hands-on experience engineering, operating, or administering enterprise network security platforms such as next-generation firewalls.
• Experience with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and network segmentation.
• Experience working within change control and IT service management processes.
• Experience using scripting or automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Experience translating security standards and business needs into practical policy.
• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Engineer, operate, and continuously improve Georgia-Pacific's network security platforms across locations.
• Own the platform lifecycle, including policy management, change control, health monitoring, and upgrades.
• Design and promote global security policies to reduce rule sprawl and align stakeholders.
• Automate request intake and fulfillment, enabling complex changes and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with Cyber Operations, Infrastructure & Site Reliability, Process Control, and vendors for go-live and cutover.
• Support OT/ICS security efforts and review vendor remote-access requests.
