Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Application Security Engineer to strengthen and expand our security posture across the software development lifecycle. Based in Atlanta, GA, you will collaborate with development, engineering, product, and other teams to drive secure practices within GP Cyber Security.

You will work within a team focused on vulnerabilities, risk-based insights, and remediation across the enterprise. Expect three days in office per week with strong emphasis on training and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience testing web applications with modern frameworks (React.js, Next.js, ASP.NET).
• Ability to analyze code and prioritize findings using SAST/DAST/ASCE.
• Proficiency in languages like Python, PowerShell, C#, Java and modern dev practices.

Responsibilities

• Embed security standards into development processes.
• Identify vulnerabilities, prioritize findings, and guide mitigations.
• Lead training on secure coding, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
• Mature application security testing platforms and work with developers on findings.
• Conduct proactive code reviews and strengthen the Secure Development Lifecycle.
