Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. seeks a senior security leader to plan and execute the information security strategy translating priorities into actionable roadmaps. You will manage security programs ensuring compliance and drive engineering and operational outcomes across tooling and processes.

You will lead teams, mentor staff, and oversee incident response projects, elevating threat detection and risk remediation through end‑to‑end lifecycle management. Hybrid work options available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology or equivalent required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, information security or related field required.
• 2+ years in security operations, threat hunting, detection engineering or incident response.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute information security strategy translating priorities into roadmaps and actions.
• Manage security programs and governance to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
• Deliver security engineering and operational outcomes through tools, processes and lifecycle management.
• Lead teams, develop talent and drive a high‑performing security organization.
• Coordinate incident response, assign actions, and conduct post‑mortem reviews.
