Job summary

The Safety & Security Programs Manager at W.W. Grainger, located at our Lake Forest, IL HQ, leads enterprise safety programs across North America, partnering with regional leadership to standardize practices and ensure compliance.

You will drive governance, training, and resource development while guiding cross-functional teams. Located 3 days a week in the Lake Forest office, you will manage program lifecycle, document control, and performance metrics to strengthen organizational capability and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field required.
• 5+ years in EH&S, Security, or program management in multi-site environments.
• Experience building enterprise programs, governance, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience creating enterprise training programs and LMS governance.
• OSHA/EPA regulatory knowledge to support program development.
• Experience with risk assessment tools, compliance processes, and contractor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve enterprise Safety & Security programs across regions.
• Lead the Safety & Security management system administration and records management.
• Develop learning, competency, and awareness programs; manage LMS governance and reporting.
• Develop contractor safety requirements and management platforms (ISNetworld/Avetta).
• Create risk assessment tools and emergency preparedness resources.
• Evaluate program effectiveness; drive improvements with cross-functional partners and leadership.
• Mentor regional Safety & Security professionals with technical guidance and project leadership.
