Job summary

The Division of Corporations and Commercial Code within the Department of Commerce in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a Document Examination & Customer Support Specialist. This role handles high-volume calls, data entry, and document review to ensure compliance with Utah code, offering hybrid work options after training.

Ideal candidates have strong written and verbal communication, prior customer service experience, and accuracy in data entry.

Qualifications

• Attend the initial training period in-person at Salt Lake City office, with hybrid telework up to 3 days/week after competency.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Prior data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service and resolving inquiries related to business entity compliance and registration.
• Clearly communicate registration requirements and deficiencies to customers both verbally and in writing.
• Assist the public and stakeholders with inquiries related to existing businesses, UCC filings, and Trademark filings.
• Enter new business entity registrations, amendments, and renewals into the electronic database.
• Process and examine applications and documents to ensure compliance with applicable Utah Code.
• Review, interpret, and apply complex legal statutes, rules, and procedures related to business entity filings.
• Assist the public with navigation and use of the Division's online filing systems.
• Maintain organized digital records and filing systems.
