Job summary

The Utah Department of Commerce's Division of Corporations and Commercial Code is seeking a Customer Support & Processing Specialist in Salt Lake City. This role handles high-volume customer interactions by phone, email, and chat, and processes business filings and documents in a fast-paced call center environment.

Hybrid work is available, with up to 3 days remote after initial training. Applicants should have prior customer service and data entry experience, plus strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Attain initial training in-person at Salt Lake City office; hybrid telework up to 3 days/week after onboarding.
• Proven data entry ability and high-volume data processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional phone etiquette.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace applications.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of incoming calls; provide exceptional customer service on business entity filings.
• Communicate registration requirements and deficiencies in writing and verbally.
• Assist public and stakeholders with inquiries re: entities, UCC filings, and Trademark filings.
• Enter new registrations, amendments, and renewals into the electronic database.
• Process and examine applications to ensure Utah Code compliance.
• Interpret and apply complex statutes, rules, and procedures for filings.
• Assist the public with navigation of online filing systems.
• Maintain organized digital records and filing systems.
