Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking a Customer Experience Coordinator to join the hybrid contact centre team based at County Hall, Morpeth. You will help customers with a wide range of services, working from home and in the office, supported by team leaders.

The role requires enthusiasm, active listening, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to solve problems and improve service delivery. Training is provided and wellbeing resources are available.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, optimistic and passionate about helping people with the customer at heart.
• Good listener who can quickly build rapport and trust.
• Curious and patient, taking time to understand the person and offer council solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as the first point of contact in the council’s contact centre.
• Provide information and guidance across a wide range of council services (housing, benefits, council tax, blue badges, etc.).
• Participate in a full training programme and ongoing development to improve customer outcomes.
