Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist to support the Accounts Receivable function in Detroit, MI. You will apply payments, monitor balances, and contact customers to secure payment on invoices.

The role is hybrid (2 days in office, 3 remote) with a yearly salary of $50,000 to $55,000. A high school diploma or accounting coursework with 2–3 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college accounting coursework or 2–3 years of payments application and collections experience.
• Ability to analyze data and work with numbers; negotiating and resolving differences.
• Experience with credit lines is a plus; proficient with MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Receivable to ensure the company gets paid for services performed.
• Apply cash to customer accounts and note any payment differences.
• Use reports to monitor balances and act on overdue payments.
• Contact customers by phone/email; send statements and notify about invoices due.
• Review new credit applications and establish credit limits; adjust as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of corporate finance and customer information; assist audits.
