Standard Textile Co., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Credit and Collections Representative to manage customer accounts, collect receivables, and resolve payment issues. You will maintain accurate records and provide excellent service while ensuring compliance with policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, with a hybrid in-office and remote schedule. A 3–5 year background in AR/collections and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in accounts receivable, collections, credit, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable principles, credit terms, and collection practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE/E1) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding overdue accounts and payment status.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during all customer interactions.
• Provide payment reminders, account statements, and payment options as needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account balances.
• Assist customers in resolving issues that may impact payment activity.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships while supporting timely payment collection.
• Process customer payments and accurately update account information.
• Reconcile payments against outstanding balances and maintain accurate financial records.
• Investigate and resolve payment disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer credit limits and manage order holds and releases in coordination with Sales and Customer Service.
• Research and resolve customer deductions, short payments, and credit memo requests.
• Maintain detailed records of customer contacts, communications, payment history, and collection efforts.
• Ensure documentation is current and accurate for all assigned accounts.
• Prepare collection activity reports, aging analyses, and other performance metrics as requested.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers experiencing financial challenges.
• Evaluate customer situations and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
• Escalate complex or high‑risk accounts to management when necessary.
