Job summary

Northwest Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to oversee the ongoing monitoring of the bank's commercial loans, ensure timely risk ratings, and maintain compliance with credit policy and loan agreements. This individual contributor role collaborates with Relationship Managers and other teams, with Construction Loan experience desirable.

The position is onsite Monday–Thursday with Fridays optional remote.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience in commercial lending as a Portfolio Manager, Relationship Manager and/or Credit Officer/Underwriter with moderate to complex loans is preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor credit performance of commercial borrowers and ensure timely escalation or remediation.
Ensure timely reporting of portfolio monitoring activities and compliance with credit policies and thresholds.
Engage with customers to discuss operating performance and covenant compliance.
Spread financial statements and prepare financial models to assess default risk and loss given default.
Document and track risk indicators and ensure loan data reflects accurate information.
Present analyses during credit discussions and maintain liaison with relationship managers and risk teams.
