Job summary

Northwest Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to monitor the bank's commercial loan portfolios, assess risk, and support relationship managers. The role emphasizes covenant testing, collateral valuation, and timely reporting under credit policy.

This is an on-site position with Friday as a possible remote day; construction loan experience is desirable and the candidate will interact with Credit Risk, Underwriting, and Special Assets teams as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics or related discipline.
Experience in commercial lending as Portfolio Manager, Relationship Manager and/or Credit Officer/Underwriter preferred.
Experience in Commercial Credit or public accounting preferred.
Ability to perform financial analysis, assess risk, review documentation, coordinate loan closings.

Responsibilities

Monitor credit performance of commercial borrowers and ensure timely risk ratings.
Ensure timely reporting of portfolio monitoring activities and policy compliance.
Engage with customers to discuss performance and covenant compliance.
Spread financial statements and build models for default risk assessment.
Document cash flows, covenant calculations, and collateral valuation as needed.
Present analyses during credit discussions and coordinate with teams for approvals.
Track risk indicators and ensure loan data accuracy in systems.
Assist in annual reviews, renewals, and credit surveillance.
