Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing or design of mechanical products.
• Experience in Global Supply Management environment.
• Lean and quality experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies (machining, molding, die casting, forging, electronics assembly).
• Cost estimating knowledge and ability to apply to cost reductions.
• Ability to analyze data, identify cost drivers and prepare reports.
• Experience with CAD and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Build roadmaps for future product lines and components to be cost modeled.
• Execute and manage cost modeling by SBD methods and outputs.
• Identify cost savings opportunities for supplier negotiations.
• Support development of negotiation strategies using fact-based arguments.
• Lead team efforts in VAVE events and cost analytics.
• Develop training modules on cost modeling for stakeholders.
• Lead and upskill a team of cost engineers.
