Job summary

Tandem Foods is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead all accounting functions, ensure timely GAAP-compliant reporting, and support tax, treasury, and internal controls. You will manage a seven-person team in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment and interact with the executive team to scale processes and automate workflows.

The role requires 12–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA or Master’s degree preferred, and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive accounting experience in manufacturing and private equity backed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team with strong internal controls.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with GAAP compliance and debt covenant reporting.
• Manage treasury activities, cash forecasting, and debt/interest transactions.
• Oversee tax compliance at state and federal levels.
• Supervise A/P and A/R with working capital improvement focus.
• Support risk management and annual 401(k) plan audit.
