Job summary

Zurich Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter – Contract Surety to join our Atlanta office. This role is highly technical, market facing, and involves approx. 25% travel.

The position offers base pay with incentive plans and a generous 401K match, plus comprehensive benefits. You will underwrite and analyze accounts, seek new Surety business, and build relationships with clients and brokers within delegated authority levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 1+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 4+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area.
• Knowledge of Surety lines of business and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Production and underwriting of new Surety accounts and existing business.
• Internal marketing and production to support cross-sell efforts.
• Execution of the external marketing strategy.
• Adherence to underwriting rules and guidelines, laws, regulations.
• Establish and develop agency and broker relationships.
• Work within limits and authorities on complex assignments.
