Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in Atlanta is seeking an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for the Contract Surety Division.

This highly technical, market-facing role requires Surety experience and travels about 25% to build relationships and win business. You will underwrite new and existing surety accounts, market Zurich's capabilities, and apply The Zurich Way of Underwriting within delegated authorities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred for deeper underwriting analysis.
• Experience with surety lines and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Production and underwriting of new Surety accounts and existing business.
• Internal marketing and production within Zurich North America to support cross-sell.
• Execution of the external marketing strategy.
• Adherence to underwriting rules, laws, and Zurich framework.
• Establish new and develop existing agency and broker relationships.
• Work within limits and authorities on varying complexity.
