Job summary

Hoar Construction seeks a Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from planning through closeout. The role starts in Charleston, SC for project support, with a permanent home office in Atlanta following project completion, overseeing schedule, budget, safety and quality with a collaborative team.

The position requires managing subcontractors, contract negotiations, client expectations, procurement, submittals, RFIs/RFPs, and timely invoicing while ensuring successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 5–8 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site management experience required; healthcare construction preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of construction process, budgeting, accounting and procurement to manage a project.

Responsibilities

• Attend planning meetings and project status meetings.
• Develop and maintain the project plan with monthly projections, change orders/proposals, and pay applications to manage the budget.
• Develop project administration, correspondence, and letters.
• Build industry relationships to generate future opportunities.
• Maintain contract files and ensure timely billings and reporting.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, RFPs, procurements, and schedule production.
• Coordinate material delivery and site logistics.
• Lead owner-architect-contractor meetings and communicate status to the project team.
