Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial projects in Charleston from preconstruction through closeout. You will drive schedules, budgets, and execution plans while maintaining client relationships and project profitability.

You will review drawings and contracts, coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and support estimating and value-engineering efforts as needed. This role emphasizes ownership and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience on commercial construction projects.
• Experience delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project financial management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Lead kickoff, progress, and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Monitor costs, billing, commitments, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders and subcontracts.
• Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee closeout activities including punch lists and warranties.
