Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP seeks a Hiring Conflicts Clearance Analyst for the New York City office, operating on a hybrid schedule. You will manage conflicts clearance for associates, summer associates and incoming first year associates, drafting waivers and establishing ethical walls when needed.

You will liaise with Legal Hiring and partners to ensure thorough checks and timely progress updates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rules governing conflicts of interest and related issues.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to fast pace.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct conflicts clearance for experienced hires; firm-wide.
• Communicate with candidates to complete prior work experience forms.
• Review resumes and PWE forms; request additional info as needed.
• Submit conflict check requests to Conflicts Department; analyze reports.
• Coordinate clearance with Legal Hiring Dept and partners; provide updates.
• Prepare documents for new hire orientation; consult with GC as needed.
