Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) seeks a Compensation Analyst to join the HR Compensation team in a hybrid role based in Boston or NYC. This independent contributor will lead firm-wide compensation analysis, reporting, and metrics with strong Excel/Access skills and financial numeracy.

The role supports the VP of Compensation, collaborates with HR partners, and drives year-end processes, analytics, and pay equity efforts across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–3+ years of compensation experience; financial services industry preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and application of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, graphs, scenario modeling).
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to get to the root cause of an issue and understand its impacts technically and to a non-Compensation professional.
• Experience with year-end salary and bonus cycles; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead year-end compensation reporting and analytics; prepare SEC materials.
• Ensure accuracy of source data for year-end compensation system.
• Maintain and update year-end compensation system and HR Portal pages.
• Create compensation increase recommendations and analyze data for trends.
• Lead and participate in compensation project initiatives and ad-hoc analyses.
• Support Market Pricing Analytics with survey uploads and vendor reporting.
