Job summary

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Manager, Community Service to oversee Adult Program providers and maintain a caseload while guiding program development and community partnerships.

The role reports to the VP, Rehab and Clinical Services, is full-time with a hybrid arrangement (3 days on site). Candidates should have 3+ years in adult programming or rehab teaching and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong Microsoft Office skills and experience in database entry.
• Strong interpersonal skills to relate to staff, blind/visually impaired students, and persons in the community with varied backgrounds and viewpoints.
• Knowledge of Braille is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adult program caseload at 49% of work time.
• Develop and implement a full schedule of programs at LightHouse campuses and in the community.
• Plan and coordinate adult programs with Rehab and Connections teams from conception to execution, within budget and attendance targets.
• Reach and serve diverse communities by building relationships with community organizations, partners, or sponsors.
• Ensure high volunteer participation and retention; promote events with adequate resources and lead times.
• Collaborate with Rehabilitation and Clinical Services and other LightHouse departments as needed.
• Participate in All Staff, All Services, Consumer Review, and Department Meetings.
