Job summary

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco seeks a Manager, Community Service to oversee adult programming and supervise the Community Services and Volunteer Services teams. The role involves developing schedules, coordinating with Rehab and Connections, and ensuring program delivery meets time and budget targets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in adult programming or rehab teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office and database entry.
• Bilingualism welcomed (ASL/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin/Russian/Tagalog/Vietnamese).
• Knowledge of braille is a plus.
• Ability to manage grants and project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 49% adult program caseload.
• Develop and implement a full activity schedule at LightHouse campuses/community.
• Plan and coordinate programs with Rehab and Connections teams from conception to execution.
• Build relationships with community organizations and sponsors.
• Oversee volunteer recruitment/retention and ensure 80% retention target.
