Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active license in good standing to practice law in Texas.
• At least five years of relevant experience in a banking and finance practice at a major law firm.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex financing agreements.
• Strong working knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, including Article 9 secured-transactions principles.
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, critical-thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to identify, assess, and clearly communicate legal and commercial risk.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and prioritize work based on business needs and risk.
• Strong collaboration skills, professional presence, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex financing, leasing, and related commercial agreements.
• Advise on transaction structure, legal risk, and practical paths to execution.
• Support matters involving equipment leasing and financing, vendor and services arrangements, IT asset disposition (ITAD), and the sale of pre-owned equipment.
• Lead or support customer and partner negotiations, resolving issues and escalating material risks when appropriate.
• Provide clear, timely, and actionable guidance to business, sales, credit, finance, operations, and legal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple matters and competing priorities with sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Develop creative, commercially practical solutions to novel or complex issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate effectively across functions, geographies, and levels of the organization.
