The People Of: Professional Services in Portland, OR seeks a Commercial Disputes Associate with 3-5 years of litigation experience to manage matters from inception through resolution. The role offers mentoring, increasing responsibility and direct client contact.

You will work with experienced litigators and have opportunities for hybrid work. California and/or Washington Bar admission is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of litigation experience
• Commercial litigation experience preferred
• Experience drafting pleadings and managing discovery
• Deposition and courtroom experience
• Admitted to state bar; CA/WA admission a plus

Responsabilités

• Manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive litigation documents
• Develop and implement case strategies with partners and team
• Conduct depositions and witness interviews
• Manage all aspects of discovery
• Prepare and argue motions before state and federal courts
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments and strategy
• Negotiate settlements where appropriate
• Assist with business development, client presentations and networking initiatives
