Confidential AmLaw 100 law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney in its Business & Commercial Disputes Practice Group. The role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and substantial courtroom exposure.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, NC bar in good standing, and 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience. Hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in North Carolina, in good standing (or ability to become admitted promptly).
• 3-5 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience handling complex business disputes at a sophisticated firm.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; strong client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Handle substantive work on complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment briefs.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, document production, e-discovery coordination, and related motions.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Support trial preparation and courtroom strategy, including witness prep and exhibit management.
• Collaborate with partners and teams to develop case strategy throughout all stages.
