Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active North Carolina Bar admission or ability to be admitted promptly.
• 3–5 years of substantive experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience managing complex business disputes at a sophisticated law firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle substantive work on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss and summary judgment briefs.
• Manage key aspects of discovery, including written discovery, document production, and e‑discovery coordination.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses as experience permits.
• Support trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and pretrial filings.
• Analyze litigation risks and business implications to develop practical legal solutions.
• Collaborate with partners and cross-office teams to provide exceptional client service.
