Responsibilities

• Investigates claims using internal and external resources, speaking with insured or involved parties, analyzing reports.
• Interacts extensively with insureds, claimants, agents and internal customers.
• Determines policy coverage through data and policy terms; notifies stakeholders.
• Establishes claim reserves and adjusts as needed during processing.
• Determines and negotiates settlement amounts within authority; writes simple to moderate estimates.
• Takes statements and coordinates with Field Appraisal, Subrogation, SIU as needed.
• Maintains accurate claim files and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Alerts leadership to potential fraud or subrogation concerns.
