The City of San José is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead hybrid cloud infrastructure initiatives in its Information Technology Department. You will manage Azure governance, enterprise storage, and automation, while ensuring high availability and DR readiness.

Strong scripting, AD, and file services expertise are required for success. This role offers a hybrid schedule with a 32-hour onsite workweek and collaboration across technical and non‑technical teams to deliver

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/MIS or related field with relevant IT experience.
• Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments and Azure services.
• Strong knowledge of backup, DR, and file/storage technologies.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring (SolarWinds) and AD/Identity systems.

Responsabilidades

• Manage Public Cloud (Azure) governance and operations and enterprise storage.
• System management, monitoring, and automation to improve services.
• Design and implement Azure backup and Disaster Recovery for infrastructure.
• Upgrade Windows Server and FileShare clusters; monitor backups.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate across teams.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues to meet SLAs.
