Job summary

L’Oréal is seeking a Cloud Data Engineering & AI Tech Lead in New York to steer the design and delivery of scalable data products on Google Cloud. You will mentor engineers, drive data governance, and partner with analytics, data science, and product teams to translate business needs into robust, enterprise-grade data solutions.

You’ll implement modern Data & AI capabilities across the architecture, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Looker integrations, while championing secure, cost-efficient

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics engineering.
• 4+ years hands-on GCP experience designing production data solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in BigQuery and SQL.
• Proficient in Python and data processing tools.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and governance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; able to lead and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products on Google Cloud.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Model enterprise data including star/snowflake schemas.
• Implement solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, and Terraform.
• Build APIs and services in Python with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with architects, BI developers, data scientists, and stakeholders.
• Lead governance, data quality, and semantic layer initiatives in Looker.
