Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus two years of college or equivalent work experience.
• One or more years of work experience preferred.
• Basic math proficiency required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Strong customer service experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to agents, insureds, claimants, and others contacting the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies or National Indemnity group.
• Respond to and resolve routine questions and service requests while escalating when needed.
• Research customer needs and route calls and emails appropriately.
• Update contact information across multiple systems as directed by Underwriting and Client Services teams.
• Process submission-related activities, including indexing, preparing documents, and prioritizing tasks.
• Provide submission status updates to agents by phone and email.
• Assist agents with complex submission inquiries by briefing underwriting resources.
• Handle workflow transactions and correspondence to support various business units.
• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
