Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. seeks a Client Care Specialist to be the primary contact for private pay clients and caregivers in the Norwich area, building strong relationships and ensuring care needs are met.

You will coordinate scheduling, resolve issues promptly, document interactions in the EMR, and maintain proactive communication with families while supporting field staff. This hybrid role requires empathy, organization, and careful attention to privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor preferred.
• 1 year home care/healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication across diverse personalities.
• Proficient in EMR, email, and spreadsheet tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize client schedules and complete tasks timely.
• Coordinate referrals and staffing with leadership.
• Match caregivers to client care plans and review details.
• Manage caregiver schedules to minimize overtime and stay within budget.
• Serve as first point of contact for inquiries; resolve issues promptly.
• Document interactions in EMR; ensure EVV accuracy.
• Provide coaching to field staff; escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in caregiver recruitment and orientation.
