Job summary

Companions & Homemakers HCA #2052 in Farmington, CT seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to be the first contact for clients and caregivers in the region. You will schedule caregivers to meet clients’ care needs and supervise staff to uphold quality care and the company mission.

This hybrid role requires strong communication, EMR proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on cost controls and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• 1 year in homecare or healthcare environment preferred.
• Scheduling experience for clients preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications required.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities in a team environment.
• Proficient with EMR and routine office software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign client schedules and complete tasks from supervisor promptly.
• Directly manage new client referrals to ensure timely staffing; keep leaders informed.
• Coordinate caregiver schedules to promote consistency, minimize overtime, and meet budget.
• Receive, investigate and resolve client scheduling complaints with supervisor support.
• Document interactions with clients and caregivers in the EMR; keep records up to date.
