Job summary

Positive Change Counseling Center in La Mesa, CA is seeking a Client Care Coordinator to support clients with scheduling, insurance questions, and payments. This onsite role handles phone and email inquiries, verifies benefits, collects co-payments, and helps match clients with the right therapist while maintaining HIPAA standards.

There is potential for a hybrid schedule after training; compensation is $20–$22 per hour for a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or billing certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of clerical experience.
• Experience with Salesforce and/or AdvancedMD highly desirable.
• Proficient in basic computer software and quick to learn new programs.
• Strong written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to potential clients seeking mental health treatment and/or psychological testing.
• Schedule appointments and match potential clients with appropriate therapists.
• Verify client health insurance/benefit information and process authorizations.
• Collect co-payments and past-due balances from clients.
• Respond to phone calls and emails within the same business day.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to company policies.
