Job summary

Continental General is hiring a Claims Specialist II in the Austin, TX area. This full-time, non-exempt, hourly role is hybrid with three in-office days per week, located at 11001 Lakeline Blvd.

You will handle complex claim servicing tasks, communicate updates, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely resolutions. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in insurance claims, strong policy interpretation skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in insurance claims, long-term care insurance, life insurance, health insurance, or related field.
• Experience interpreting policy provisions, researching claim information, and applying procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance products and industry practices.
• High School Diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle moderately complex claim servicing requests (check reissues, payment corrections, reversals).
• Review claim details, payment history and records to determine resolution.
• Research and analyze complex claim servicing items (overpayments, adjustments).
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, providers, insureds to resolve issues.
