Job summary

Amerisure is seeking a Claims Adjuster Associate in Michigan to support adjusters across the claim lifecycle. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in one of our offices. The ideal candidate has a background in insurance or claims and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, gathering information, documenting claims, and coordinating with vendors. A Bachelor's equivalent education and ability to obtain state licensure are preferred, with familiarity in MS

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience in insurance, claims, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with claims management software preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships within department and with external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, injured workers, and other stakeholders regarding claim status or payments.
• Obtain and verify information to support accurate claim processing.
• Assist with claim documentation and state filings.
• Draft and distribute correspondence to policyholders and agents.
• Maintain accurate claim records in the management system.
• Coordinate external vendors to support the claims process.
• Process payments and invoices per company policies.
