Job summary

Amerisure is seeking a Claims Adjuster Associate to support the claims department. You will assist with all phases of the claim lifecycle, help manage inquiries, collect information, and prepare documentation to aid adjusters in processing claims efficiently.

The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days in one of our offices, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and vendors. A capable communicator with attention to detail will thrive.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience in insurance, claims, or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with claims management software preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships within department and with external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Strong ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail in data input.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, injured workers, and other stakeholders regarding claim status and related questions.
• Obtain and verify information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and vendors to support accurate processing.
• Assist with claim documentation, state filings, closing documents, and other administrative tasks for adjusters.
• Prepare and distribute correspondence to policyholders, claimants, and agents.
• Maintain accurate claim records in the management system and ensure documentation is complete.
• Coordinate external vendors (appraisers, attorneys, contractors) to support the claims process.
• Process payments and invoices per company policies and adjuster direction.
